And here is a photo I took in Edda's garden  of one of those very elusive Coquis you hear so much (but never see) in Puerto Rico.

I plan to visit again after the election in November. Hopefully this time we can make the trip to Culebra.

UPDATE: Sorry to report; the Culebra trip never happened. In fact as of the start of 2025 I still haven't been back to Puetro Rico, Maybe someday.

And here is a less formal shot of Edda with two of her lovely Nieces.

OK This wasn't much of an entry, I know. More or less just a placeholder for the month plus a few days I spent here helping with some repairs and things around the house. Beyond that, I was just taking time to recharge.

I will note here that I flew back to Ft. Lauderdale on April 9. I spent about 14 days there but there is not much to report. I had given my first cellphone (an LG Brand) to Lisa in Germany and I now had a Motorola which was locked to T Mobile. I called them and they kindly gave me instructions how to Unlock the phone so I could use it in Germany, my next destination.

Somehow I felt kinda proud of that.

Puerto Rico

I next visited Puerto Rico for some down time. I did not get in any tourism since Edda is busy running for Mayor of Bayamone. She is the candidate of the Independence Party. Those of you who know Puerto Rican politics know that this pretty much guarantees she will come in third in this race. But as an idealist she will make a statement and a showing.
